Indian Premier League(Cricket) and FIFA World Maruti successfully executed "Sports Sponsorship Successfully goes" campaign in 2010 during two major sports events i.e. This campaign played a vital role for Maruti Suzuki to reach its target audience. MMA got hundreds of submissions from the companies worldwide and finally, the winners were chosen by the MMA Award selection committee which included global industry leaders from Wireless carriers technology and content providers , Industry publication and agencies.
This campaign crossed 7 million users with an outstanding figure of more than 1.2 million engagements and a 7 % CTR (Click Through Rate). The campaign ran for two months which used multiple mobile media resources like Maruti Suzuki Affle's Voice Portals, SMS adverting and SMS 2.0 Mobile Internet. The award ceremony was held on 17 November in Los Angeles at Mobile Marketing Forum,where Maruti Suzuki won this award, which were announced by Global Mobile Market Association(MMA). These awards are given to the companies for best mobile media and branding tactics. India's leading car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited today informed cardekho.com that it has bagged the prestigious MMA Asia Pasific and Global awards for digital campaigning of " Sports Sponsorship goes on mobile" and has become the first Indian auto manufacturer to win this title.
